Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and processing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
Responsibilities:
Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging items securely and labeling them accurately.
Generate necessary shipping documents, including invoices and bills of lading.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels and organize storage areas.
Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with shipping companies.
Maintain detailed records of shipments, including costs, methods, and tracking information.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and shipping laws.
Communicate effectively with various departments (Production, Accounting, Engineering, Customer Service, etc.).
Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Proficiency in basic computer skills, including email, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Experience with an ERP system (Odoo, NetSuite, Sage, etc.) preferred.
2+ years of shipping or manufacturing experience preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional bending.
Minimal amount of moderate to heavy lifting.
Work environment is in a quiet, temperature-controlled Production Area.
