Job Description

Quality Assurance Manager

Role Description:

This is a critical role for a highly experienced Quality Assurance Manager who can immediately step in and manage our quality control processes, prepare for upcoming ISO audits, and ensure seamless operations. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, from incoming materials to final product delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • ISO 9001 Management: Lead and manage our ISO 9001 certification and prepare for upcoming audits (February 2023).

  • Auditing: Conduct and manage regular internal and external audits.

  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain robust quality control processes, including problem-solving and root cause analysis.

  • Blueprint and Specification Reading: Accurately interpret blueprints and specifications.

  • Customer and Supplier Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues with customers and suppliers.

  • Supplier Audits: Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Manufacturing Support: Provide manufacturing support, including corrective and preventive actions.

  • MSDS Sheets: Read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with all departments to ensure quality procedures meet customer requirements.

  • Paint Specifications (Training Available): Learn and manage paint specifications (prior paint experience a plus, but not required).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance Management.

  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards and auditing processes.

  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

  • Prior paint shop experience is a plus.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (occasional overtime as needed).

Compensation:

  • $70,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
