Job Description

 

Position Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of all production equipment and operators.

  • Schedule production machines based on priorities

  • Setup of Cold Heading equipment

  • Troubleshoot production issues

  • Supervise the operation of production equipment

  • Supervise production staff

  • Communicate with team on results and progress

Education/Experience, and Skills:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 8+ years’ experience in Cold Heading manufacturing

  • 1 year minimum supervisory experience

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours /day.

Language Ability:

 

  • Read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively with peers and management.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not necessary

 

Mathematical Ability:

 

  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Computer Skills:

 

  • Microsoft office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook)

  • Basic ERP

  • Data Entry

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage a team of associates (Cold Heading operators, Thread Rolling operators, etc.) both permanent as well as temporary employees.

  • Create and manage shift schedules

  • Responsible for hiring, terminating, and managing team performance

  • Hosting team meetings and training sessions
