This position is responsible for performing janitorial work to support cleanliness and orderliness of production equipment and work areas.
Position Responsibilities:
Sweep and clean production areas and aisles as assigned.
Follow assigned route for scrap and garbage collection throughout the plant.
Clean equipment during downtime for preventive maintenance work.
Maintain organization and cleanliness in outside dumpster area.
Assist maintenance personnel in keeping outside walkways and entrances clear of snow and ice during winter months.
Record and submit accurate production and quality data, work records, etc., appropriate to the position.
Follow standard work, line clearance and setup verification procedures relevant to position.
Follow PPE and safety rules specified for the work area.
Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
Train others within the work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Job Skills Requirements:
Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to perform the job and meet production and quality targets on a consistent basis.
Must possess or be able to obtain certification to operate a fork lift.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Standing and walking required 100% of day.
Normal factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations.
