Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing janitorial work to support cleanliness and orderliness of production equipment and work areas.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Sweep and clean production areas and aisles as assigned.
  • Follow assigned route for scrap and garbage collection throughout the plant.
  • Clean equipment during downtime for preventive maintenance work.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in outside dumpster area.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in keeping outside walkways and entrances clear of snow and ice during winter months.
  • Record and submit accurate production and quality data, work records, etc., appropriate to the position.
  • Follow standard work, line clearance and setup verification procedures relevant to position.
  • Follow PPE and safety rules specified for the work area.
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Train others within the work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Job Skills Requirements:
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform the job and meet production and quality targets on a consistent basis.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain certification to operate a fork lift.

Experience Requirements:
  • None

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Standing and walking required 100% of day.
  • Normal factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations.
