Job Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources Director. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, evaluations, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

 

2. Maintains personnel files and performs periodic file audits to ensure regulation compliance

 

3. Participates in employment fairs and other recruiting efforts as requested

 

4. Assists in facilitating employee trainings as needed

 

5. Assists with posting available positions on KHDS's applicant tracking system

 

6. Maintains human resource information system records, compiles and administers database reports to personnel as requested

 

7. Assists with facilitating annual benefit open enrollment for employees

 

8. Meets with new employees to complete onboarding process and orientation as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree preferred.

 

Human Resources experience

Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in the English language

Exceptional boundaries and confidentiality

Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with good driving record

Must carry own auto insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 coverage

Ability to give and accept feedback as a part of a team

Ability to traverse within the workspace and community frequently

Be willing to learn and work with the treatment philosophies of KHDS

Bilingual in Spanish a plus
