Key Responsibilities:
Be the Voice of the Customer
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts—building trust through consistent phone and email communication
• Act as a customer advocate internally and externally
• Investigate and resolve customer issues related to pricing, delivery, returns, and credits with professionalism and urgency
Own and Grow Accounts
• Manage and expand existing customer relationships while identifying new sales opportunities
• Deliver quotes, sales terms, and delivery timelines with accuracy and confidence
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, opportunities, and order activity
Drive Inside Sales Growth
• Develop new business through prospecting, lead qualification, and closing
• Research and pursue leads from digital campaigns, trade shows, referrals, and industry sources
• Track quoting activity, follow up on open quotes, and close sales opportunities
• Identify opportunities to expand business within current accounts
Collaborate for Success
• Work closely with engineering, scheduling, and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met
• Interpret customer requirements, including technical documentation and blueprints
• Visit customers as needed to strengthen relationships and deepen understanding of their needs

Qualifications:
• 3–5+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, or customer service within a manufacturing or job shop environment
• Strong phone presence and written communication skills—you’re comfortable talking to customers all day
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and follow through skills
• Experience working in an ERP system (Global Shop ERP experience is a plus!)
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical requirements (highly desired)
• Comfortable making cold calls and handling rejection with persistence and positivity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Self starter mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
