Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on all equipment within the facility. You will help with day-to-day blow molding production as well as machine installations, rebuilds, and overhauls. You are a critical team member, working side by side with mechanics and other maintenance personnel to problem solve and help us produce high quality products as efficiently as possible. You will also be responsible for training and providing guidance and leadership for mechanics and maintenance apprentices. Position Summary

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance program on all equipment within the facility.
- Perform daily walk downs to ensure machines are running at required efficiency and production levels. Make mechanical adjustments as required.
- Troubleshoot and fix electrical and other issues on all equipment.
- Operate, start, and stop all production blow molding and auxiliary equipment in a safe manner.
- Help install new equipment and perform machine rebuilds within the facility.
- Assist in machine changeovers, including all downstream equipment .
- Train mechanics and maintenance apprentices on mechanical and maintenance processes .
- Troubleshoot processing and production issues on all equipment and suggest and implement ways to improve production.
- Work closely with management on items and equipment that need to be purchased or repaired and log them in our maintenance software system.
- Ensure equipment is performing at industry standard.
- Work with management to review mold drawings, other tooling, and specifications necessary for new bottle projects.
- Maintain proper paperwork, logs, and records either manually or in computer systems/mobile applications.
- Perform general building maintenance (heating/cooling, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) as needed.
- Be a team player by assisting coworkers where needed and performing other duties, as assigned.
Skills / Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED, further education a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing environment, direct blow molding experience preferred
- Proficient mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical skills
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and plumbing
- Proficiency in hand tools
- Must be able to operate Volt/Ohms meter, micrometers, calculator, and be familiar with a variety of tools and equipment
- Communication Escalate progress and concerns in a professional manner
- Follow processes and procedures to maintain a safe workplace
- Attention to detail
- Ability to retain information and follow direction to perform independently after training
- Must have comprehensive mechanical tools to complete required machine tasks (tool purchase repayment plan offered through Parker Plastics)
- General computer knowledge to enter, track, and submit work orders utilizing computer programs and mobile applications
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds occasionally.
- Exposure to loud noises in our production facility.
