Job Description

This Maintenance Technician I position is intended to be a developmental role for individuals with basic injection molding maintenance expertise. Since the equipment complexity requires a wide variety of skills, exposure to electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC s, robotics, and advanced mechanical systems will be typical technologies that the Maintenance Technician I would be required to work on. Those responsibilities include: troubleshooting, routine maintenance, work order process oversight & execution, project management, predictive/preventive maintenance, equipment performance monitoring & documentation and corrective actions. Since the role is intended to initially be as a Trainee, competency in all of the above areas is not essential, but the ideal candidate would possess a basic understanding and the ability to learn them.

Primary Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Tr oubleshoot and fix electrical and other issues on all equipment.
-Help install new equipment and perform machine rebuilds within the facility
-Troubleshoot processing and production issues on all equipment
-Maintain proper paperwork, logs, and records either manually or in computer systems/mobile applications.
-Perform general building maintenance (heating/cooling, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) as needed
-Be a team player by assisting coworkers where needed
-Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance program on all equipment within the facility.

Qualifications and Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED
-1 to 3 years of maintenance experience in injection molding (Preferred but not required)
-Solid math & written skills
-Verbal and written communication skills
-Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
-Basic skills in use of hand tools, mechanical systems, troubleshooting, Use a Multi-Meter, etc.
-Hydraulics & pneumatics preferred, but not required
-Understand Basic Electrical AC/DC ( High Voltage 240v, 480v, 120v single phase and three phase, also low voltage 24vdc)
-Familiarity with standard industry safety for electrical runs, electrical cabinets and enclosers


Other Skills/Abilities:
-Ability to follow Verbal and written instructions
-Ability to climb al ladder and work safely in high places
-Ability to Read and Understand electrical/hydraulic schematics (Will Train)
-Ability to Lift and move heavy objects (+75lbs)
-Ability to retain information and follow direction to perform independently after training
-Ability to take constructive feedback
-Desire to learn and improve technical abilities and expertise.
