General Labor (Machine Operator Support)

Position Summary

The General Labor position supports machine operators in the preparation, operation, and cleanup of rubber processing equipment. This role is responsible for handling materials, assisting with production tasks, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment in a manufacturing setting.

What You'll Do

  • Assist machine operators with setup, operation, and cleanup of rubber processing equipment.
  • Load and unload raw materials, molds, and finished rubber products.
  • Support mixing, cutting, trimming, and finishing production processes.
  • Transport materials and products throughout the facility using carts or hand trucks.
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks and report equipment issues or safety concerns.
  • Quality & Inspection

    • Perform basic inspections of materials and finished products.
    • Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns.
    • Follow production specifications to ensure consistent output.
    • Support quality control standards throughout the production process.
    • Maintain accuracy in handling and staging materials.
  • Safety & Work Standards

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
    • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
    • Use proper handling techniques for materials and equipment.
    • Comply with all company safety and quality requirements.
    • Immediately report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
  • Qualifications

    • Ability to perform physical labor in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
    • Ability to work in a team-based production setting.
    • Basic understanding of safety and quality procedures preferred.
    • Previous manufacturing or machine support experience is a plus.
