GL/ Racker
Essential duties & responsibilities
1. Must know how to mount the parts on the racks to assure quality.
2. Maintain work speed to complete your quarter of racking area.
3. Must be able to rack one bar per labor hour by the end of first month.
4. Maintain rack cleanliness to avoid build up and bad quality.
5. Must have the knowledge of how to handle product as not to damage it while racking and un-racking it.
6. Maintain work area cleanliness.
7. Understands need for proper rack and can find alternative racks for parts.
8. Understands different racks codes and their usage.
9. Ability to understand and follow directions of work center leaders and be able to communicate with others.
10. Make sure never to set any parts on the floor.
11. Inspect, wipe and clean the parts while unracking.
12. Be able to tell good part from bad.
13. Be able to count all the rejects unracked from every bar.
14. Notify work center leaders of any or all problems.
15. Attendance should be perfect with no late days and no missed days without phone call.
Education & training:
Be able to read and write. Ability to do simple mathematical skills like addition subtraction, multiplication and division as requested.
Typical Physical demand:
Requires prolonged standing, bending, reaching or stooping. Requires occasional lifting up to 40 pounds. Requires exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Requires manual dexterity and hand eye coordination to rack and unrack parts.
