Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control procedures, conduct audits and inspections, and utilize vision systems to identify and prevent product defects.

  • Process Improvement: Recommend and drive operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

  • Customer Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, professionally addressing concerns via email and phone. All communications must be returned the same day.

  • Issue Resolution: Lead root cause analyses, investigate customer returns, and develop comprehensive preventative and corrective action plans in writing.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Analyze quality data to identify trends, prepare detailed quality performance reports, and create reports such as FMEA, PPAP, and SCAR for customers.

  • Auditing: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

  • Leadership: Supervise and train quality control staff, providing ongoing support and guidance. Ensure inspectors have easy access to customer prints, packaging instructions, and critical inspection areas.

What We're Looking For:

  • A bachelor's degree or two years of progressively responsible quality inspection experience is preferred.

  • Strong data entry skills and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and databases.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and adaptability to handle a variety of situations.

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering clear explanations.

  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Position Details:

  • Pay Rate: $22 - $25 per hour

  • Shift: 1st Shift

  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

  • Physical Demands: Requires standing, stooping, bending, and stretching. You must also have 20/20 corrected vision for detailed work.
