Job Description

Responsible for operating and maintaining a CNC and Manual machining center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing the machine for efficient operation by ensuring the use of appropriate tools and making sure the tools that are used are functional
  • Read and interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specifications.
  • Identify material types and thicknesses associated to work orders.
  • Safely handle materials.
  • Perform proper start-up and shutdown of machining centers.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with CNC machine operation preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools, calipers, micrometers, grinders, etc.
  • Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed.
  • Troubleshoot program, offset, and condition setting and adjust for corrections preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, part tolerances, and print specifications.
