Responsible for all brazing operations in accordance with the company’s brazing standard operating procedures and work instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-The Brazer is responsible in preparing equipment for efficient operation by ensuring the use of appropriate tools, gauges, and shop aids and making sure they are functional.
-The Brazer is 100% responsible for the quality of the parts they produce.
-Read and interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specifications.
-Identify material types and thicknesses associated to work orders.
-Safely handle materials.
-Work in accordance with safety rules and establish good housekeeping practices.
-Accurately record time and production numbers daily, along with recording scrap.
-Follow the posted schedule of work to be completed along with the priority set by the schedule.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work on additional equipment or tasks outside of the job description as directed by the Supervisor for production needs or continuous improvement needs.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
-Experience with brazing/welding STRONGLY preferred
-Should have knowledge of different metals and how to fabricate them
-Must be able to use basic hand tools, calipers, micrometers, grinders, etc.
-Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed.
-Assist in troubleshooting variances and quality issues that may arise.
-Must be able to read and understand blueprints, part tolerances, and print specifications.
