Job Description

This position requires a person that is honest, patient, extremely organized, enjoys numbers and can follow procedures already in place but still has a drive to grow with the ever-changing business needs to help develop it further. This position also requires a person to have strong problem solving, multi-tasking, and accuracy skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Update and maintain accounting records, including those which calculate expenditures, receipts, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss
  • Record all transactions and post debits (costs) and credits (income)
  • Produce financial statements and prepare reports and summaries for supervisors and managers
  • Prepare bank deposits by compiling data, verify and balance receipts, and complete entry into QuickBooks
  • Make purchases (cut checks), create purchase orders, prepare invoices, and keep track of overdue accounts
  • Manipulate commission reports received from vendors and input data into company-developed tracking system
  • Calculate commissions due as well as audit the earned commission based on commission plans and policies
  • Maintain confidentiality on matters relating to payroll commissions and performance
  • Research commission variances as requested by your superior
  • Provide feedback to your superior to increase accuracy of commission payments
  • Accurately maintain and update records and adhere to record retention guidelines
  • Ensure the integrity of commissions paid to agents based on policies and procedures
  • Additional duties may be assigned

Job Qualifications/Requirements:
  • QuickBooks desktop experience required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (equations & Macros), and Outlook
  • Must have proficient key boarding skills, and computer knowledge
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Excel experience with advanced formulas and pivot tables is a plus

Director of Corporate Affairs:

Hours: 20 per week (M-F) from 9: 00am 1: 00pm CST (Part-Time & Non-Exempt). Schedule flexibility and possibility of remote work once trained.
