Job Description

TIG Welders are responsible for welding cold rolled, stainless steel, and aluminum used to

manufacture solid state lighting fixtures. Additional responsibilities include:

 

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate TIG welding equipment

• Determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces

• Perform quality inspections of parts to produce products

• Stage completed product of skids

• Act responsibly; maintain a safe working environment

 

Qualifications:

• Advanced Welding certification or degree from accredited school is strongly preferred

• Previous TIG welding experience with specific knowledge of heat settings and speeds

• Experience working with sheet metal, mild steel/stainless steel/aluminum a strong plus

• Dimensional measuring and simple math competence; Basic computer skills

• Prior experience using calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools

• Proven ability to read and understand blueprints

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

• Maintain excellent attendance record

• Flexible to perform overtime duties and adjust schedule when required

• Able to work within a team environment and perform other job related duties as needed
