Responsible for operating and maintaining a CNC and Manual machining center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing the machine for efficient operation by ensuring the use of appropriate tools and making sure the tools that are used are functional
Read and interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specifications.
Identify material types and thicknesses associated to work orders.
Safely handle materials.
Perform proper start-up and shutdown of machining centers.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Experience with CNC machine operation preferred but not required.
Must be able to use basic hand tools, calipers, micrometers, grinders, etc.
Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed.
Troubleshoot program, offset, and condition setting and adjust for corrections preferred but not required.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, part tolerances, and print specifications.
